    These screws are #2 x 3/8" Round Head Screws
    CAUTION:
    Drilling too small or not deep enough of a pilot hole WILL result in either the screw heads stripping out on soft screws, or breakage at or below the surface for hardened screws (these screws are hardened to prevent the heads from stripping).
    IMPORTANT - HAND TOOLS ONLY
    A 1/16” Pilot hole of
    correct depth
    is REQUIRED (3/8").
    DON'T attempt to
    install into existing holes without
    cleaning with a 1/16” drill bit first.
    DO NOT FORCE OR OVER TIGHTEN. These screws will
    not self drill. They WILL break.
    The recommendation of virtually all screw suppliers is that for a #2 wood screw, a 1/16" diameter pilot hole is REQUIRED. Do your homework to prevent expensive issues. You can type Pilot Hole For #2 Screw into any search engine and have access to all of the free info you need.
