    Description

I’ll start by saying I don’t collect much foreign coinage but I came across this little stunner recently and found out that these are actually pretty rare and valuable! Designed by Charles E Barber ( the same designer of the barber Dime, quarter and half dollar ) these dimes were minted at the San Francisco mint. They only made 250,000 of these so coming across them doesn’t happen often! The coin is made of 90% silver just like a regular US Dime would be made of that same year in 1883. This specific Dime is gorgeous! Yes sadly it looks to have had environmental damage that stripped the luster from the coin but did not leave any damage to the actual surface of the coin. The condition is great with the coin being AU in grade. The coins strike is decent with no errors or weaknesses on either side of the coin. This coin would make a great addition to a collection!
