C5 Corvette OEM Replacement Fuel Pressure Regulator/Filter LS1/LS6 WIX 33737
Description
100% Brand New
This is an OE style filter-regulator as used in the 1999-2004 C5 Corvette.  The combination fuel filter and bypass regulator sends 58 PSI (4 BAR) to your fuel rail and returns unused gas to the tank.
Inlet is Male 3/8" Quick Connect; return to tank is Male 5/16" Quick Connect; outlet to engine is Female 3/8" Quick Connect.
Your electric fuel pump works continuously & this bypass regulator passes excess fuel back into the tank so the pump can run freely.  (A "dead head" regulator creates back pressure on the fuel pump which can cause wear & premature pump failure.)  This filter-regulator is commonly installed near the tank so that only a short return line is required.

This is a popular fuel supply solution for fuel injection (EFI / FI) retrofits and for swaps to modern engines like the GM Gen III and Gen IV V8 engines in 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, and 6.2 displacement: LS1, LS2, LS3, L76, L98, L77, LY6, LFA, LZ1, LY2, L20, LH6, LS4, LSX, etc.  Commonly used in LSX swap.  Suitable for primary fuel supply to newer LT1 DGI.  Not for the 1990s era LT1!  Not recommended for dual pump setups.  Not suitable for turbo or supercharged applications, which require vacuum reference.
