This is a nearly 100 year old machine, I am attempting to date more accurately as soon as possible.
If you are knowledgeable, please tell me if numbers below are helpful for dating machine scale.
Condition is used, will update price and description as soon as possible.
SERIAL # 383035, type;8559B, Capacity; 24 lbs.
Please see photos. Some of the minor nicks and flaws do not show in the photos, but this is a good looking, impressive, antique, vintage piece of nostalgic history you will be proud to own and show.
This has been cleaned in a reasonable fashion but would benefit from a professional cleaning and/or restoration, or just a little touch-up paint would make it greatly improved, easily and cheaply.
This is a mostly working model but can benefit with some minor repairs, or you can use it just like it is.
Just the appearance is so eyecatching, it screams of a time gone by and nearly forgotten.
Has some damage to the paper scroll on the far left side (where pennies are calculated) but does not interfere with reading the weight, which is on the far right of the scroll scale.
Unit is out of calibration and reads less than zero, but with a little added weight can be zeroed.
Electric lamps not working but switch needs minor repair.
Original removable table/plate is missing. Makeshift black oval container works reliably, easily.
Bottom plate is missing but does not affect working ability, beneath, and concealed unless turned upside-down.
Photo #7 shows an old, used, working, electric crock pot setting on the cradle but is not included in this sale, unless you request it upon purchasing the scale. I will include it for free, but you must alert me about it. It nestles rather nicely in the cradle and has a removable, porcelain coated, steel, oval cooking vessel container, just like the black container which is shown in photos # 1, 8, & 9, ( and is included with scale).
Last photo is attempting to show the leveling bubbles are intact, but are not very clearly shown.
