    You can use it as it is, but if you want more sharpness, please use it after sharpening.
    Bamboo hatchet is a thin hatchet used to chop bamboo lengthwise.
    The blade needs to go straight into the bamboo, so it is "double-edged".
    Therefore, left-handed people can use it as it is.
    The surface is finished with a black "kurouchi" finish, which is one of the features of Tosa-uchi knives. This "black finish" refers to the method of finishing a blade, in which only the blade part is sharpened, leaving the blackened part in the manufacturing process.
    I think that there are many "polished" knives with polished surfaces all over the country, but for Tosa-uchihamono, this black finish has been used habitually since long ago.
    It is said that it is slightly resistant to rust compared to polished finish because of the black part left.
    It is a little rustic, and you can feel the "astringent" atmosphere.
