    Description

    VINTAGE WWI ERA U.S. ARMY AVIATOR SILVER BULLION WINGS PATCH - HAND SEWN, VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT CONDITION
    These vintage WWI ERA U.S. ARMY AVIATOR SILVER BULLION WINGS PATCH are hand sewn, and from a family member who served in France, during WWI. The service was in the Ist Corps, stationed at Neufchateau, France. The WWI campaigns of the First Corps were: Isle-de-France, Champagne-Marne, Aisne-Marne, Champagne, St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. This thickly padded and intricate patch is of silver-toned and possibly gold-toned bullion threads. It is highly detailed, with finely worked and defined rows of spread feathers, flanking a central striped shield with a three-pointed top edge. The threads are hand sewn onto a dark blue or black wool patch of conforming shape. There are no markings on the patch.
    Condition:  In Very Good to Excellent Mint Condition. There is a general overall oxidizing of the metallic threads. All threads are sound and strong, with no odors. Please see photographs.
