    Description

This listing is for a Vintage pitcher marked on the bottom as "Brush" Pottery #83 USA.
It dates somewhere between 1925 and 1982.
Since we’ve owned it since the late 1970’s, it has to have been made between 45 and 95 years ago.
The beautiful mint or fern green glaze is lightly speckled with a rusty brown inside and out!
This ceramic stoneware pitcher is in excellent condition.
There are no chips, no cracks, no repairs and no crazing.
This cute, squatty pitcher stands 5 ¼” tall and measures 7” from spout to handle.
It weighs 1 pound 11 ounces, not counting the weight of packing material.
    Tidbit:
The original pottery, Brush-McCoy Pottery, was formed by combining the companies of Nelson McCoy and George Brush and started operations under “Brush-McCoy” in 1911.
McCoy sold his interest in the company around 1918, leaving Brush in control.
In 1925 the directors of the Brush – McCoy Pottery Company dropped the McCoy name.
The company name remained unchanged until 1925 when it became Brush Pottery, thus reflecting Brush's sole ownership.
It operated under that name until it closed in 1982.
