Description
World War One United States Marine Corps wound stripe chevron. Made out of that WW1 Marine dark green / hint of blue uniform material. Made in flat ribbon bullion. 2 1/8 inches across by 1 1/2 inches tall in size. Was sewn previously to a uniform, and you can still see the attachment threads. Gold bullion wire has patina'd darker, and applied onto the wool base with a yellow thread. ** I TOOK PICTURES OF THE CHEVRON IN THE DIRECT SUNLIGHT, AND OUT OF THE DIRECT SUNLIGHT - I TOOK PICS NEXT TO A CLASSIC ARMY VERSION TO TRY AND SHOW THE COLOR DIFFERENCE. HARD TO GET A PICTURE TO CORRECTLY REPRESENT THE TRUE COLOR AS THE EYE SEES IT ** The first, third, fifth and seventh pictures are takes in direct sunlight. The second, fourth, sixth and eight pictures were taken outside in nature light, but NOT direct sunlight.
