West Point USMA 1900s-1920s Leather Pennant Tobacco / Cigarette Patch.
United States Military Academy.
Here is a leather college pennant for
West Point
, the
United States Military Academy
on the Hudson
.  Years ago (C. 1908) numerous cigarette companies began to put "cards" (of paper, flannel, silk, and leather) depicting baselball players, Indian chiefs in native regalia, actresses, state and national flags, college pennants, in with their cigarettes as "premiums" to encourage smokers to buy their specific product.
The leather pennants were also included as another type of "premium" by companies such as
MOGUL
Egyptian Cigarettes
. The manufacturer of this particular example is unnknown, but this "premium" dates from the early part of the 20th C.  They were very collectible then and, especially, now.
